A gang of annoying Christian Fuckwits have been banned from Rundle Mall.

The South Australian Supreme Court has backed an application from Adelaide City Council to ban the preachers from Rundle Mall in the city.

The council cites complaints from shoppers and retailers.

The religious group has denied claims its members are too noisy and make racist or sexually-offensive remarks.

No, of course. Their toxic Bible contains no racist nor sexually offensive material. What could the wage-slave-owning retailers be thinking?

It has accused the council of breaching constitutional rights by impeding political free speech.

That’s the USA, you god-addled goobers. Australia has no such provisions. (In fact, quite the reverse)

Australia is a monarchy, with its head being the supreme leader of a church.

And in any case, making sexist, racist, homophobic, misogynist, violent remarks (as encouraged by your holy tome) is most definitely NOT political speech. What were you thinking? Oh yes, I forgot, Christianity means that you are excused from thought.

The council wants a temporary ban made permanent, arguing the men do not have permits so are in breach of council by-laws.

Justice Timothy Anderson imposed an interim injunction while the parties prepare more detailed arguments.

That should be good for a laugh!

Cardinal Sin

In a further revelation of Catholic Creepiness, (as if another one was required), and downright selfish psychopathy on behalf of priest, bishops and cardinals:

The former head of Belgium’s Roman Catholic Church has acknowledged that he should not have held a meeting with a victim of serial sexual abuse and suggested a cover up until the offending bishop retired.

And why is he regretting that decision?

The April 8 meeting that retired Cardinal Godfried Danneels held was secretly taped by the victim and the conversation was published in two newspapers over the weekend.

Since the tapes’ publication, Danneels, 77, has faced fierce criticism for his suggestion that the sexual abuse be kept secret and that the victim should consider forgiving the bishop, his uncle, as part of seeking closure.

Facing fierce criticism is hardly good enough. He should have faced judicial prosecution for 1) attempting to pervert the course of justice, 2) for failing to report a gross felony, 3) For being a selfish parasite.

“He realizes that the whole approach, as it was, was not the right one,” Danneels spokesman, Toon Osaer, told The Associated Press on Monday. Osaer said Danneels was unprepared for the meeting. “It was improvisation.”

Not “the right one” because he has now been caught committing several crimes? (Which he will get away with, of course.)

Now, what do you think this priestly prick’s main concern is? For the victim? No:

But Danneels also said he regretted that the confidential meeting was made public by the victim, who is now 42 years old.

Its the sociopathically-slimy “Blame the Victim” game again.

NSW God-botherers Urge MPs to join them in the 4th Century

A CHRISTIAN lobby group is urging New South Wales politicians to reject a bill which would grant adoption rights to same sex couples!

Independent MP Clover Moore introduced the bill to Parliament in June, with both NSW Premier Kristina Keneally and Opposition Leader Barry O’Farrell saying they would allow MPs a conscience vote.

We’ll remember this baneful act, Clover Moore.

David Nutt, (nominative determinism at work again?) NSW director of the Australian Christian Lobby (ACL), has called on the state’s politicians to vote against it. He said the bill was “social engineering” that ignored the best interests of children.

“Heterosexual couples who can provide a more complete family environment are already spending years on NSW waiting lists in the hope of adopting a child, with many missing out,” he said in a statement.

And of course he has the studies to back up those wild notions. Perhaps not.

“This is not a gay rights issue – it is, as adoption always is, about the rights of the child.

No, David. What you are worried about is dictating morality to those who do not share your horrifically vicious iron-age delusions, which DEMAND that you murder your offspring if they give a bit of lip, that you hack bits off their genitals, that kids are to abandon their families and follow Jesus, that you not ’spare the rod’ lest you spoil the child, that you mentally scar them for life with lies about demons, satan, and eternal hellfire, that you deny them a normal education, especially in terms of sexuality, that you inculcate in them a hatred of women, that you are to have them raped in place of a casual house-guest, etc etc…

39 Ass Whip Lashes for Israeli Religious Singer

Singer Erez Yechiel, who performed in front of a “mixed audience” of men and women was lashed 39 times to make him “repent,” after a ruling by a self-described rabbinic court on Wednesday.

Stone-age cretin Rabbi Amnon Yitzhak, founder of the Shofar organization aimed at bringing Jews “back to religion” (hazara betshuva), has made it his recent mission to fight against musical performances for both men and women.

He displayed a leather strip he said was made by his father from ass and bull skin, with which Yechiel was to have been whipped.

Yechiel, who said, “I accept upon myself the lashing for my sins,” was ordered to stand by a wooden poll with his head facing north (“from whence the evil inclination comes”), his hands tied with a azure-colored rope (“a symbol of mercy”), and served his “sentence.”

What an odious otiose superstition-soaked load of retarded infantile bollocks.

These imbeciles are physical adults! I wouldn’t even expect such obdurate magical non-thinking from a 5 year-old.

I can think of other performers who better deserve to be whipped for crimes against music.

Full Fatwa Milk

Sheikh Abdel Mohsen Obeikan, a former royal court advisor with his own radio program, “Fatwas On the Air“, caused an international stir a few weeks ago when he issued a fatwa (IE: religious edict) allowing unrelated men and women to mingle in public so long as a woman allows the guy to drink her breast milk in order establish a maternal bond.

UAE-based Gulf News quotes Obeikan as saying:

The man should take the milk, but not directly from the breast of the woman. He should drink it and then becomes a relative of the family, a fact that allows him to come in contact with the women without breaking Islam’s rules about mixing.

This week another cleric, Youssef Al-Ahmed, issued another fatwa, this one urging the faithful not to shop at a Saudi Arabian supermarket chain because it employs women as cashiers, a job that allows them to mix with men. The fatwa forced the chain to reassign 11 female employees.

New South Wales Premier Kristina Keneally says the State Government has decided to oppose a bill which calls for a ban on wearing a burka in public places.

The private member’s bill was introduced into State Parliament in June by Christian Democratic lunatic fuckwit Fred Nile.

Mr Nile lied to Parliament that banning the burka would set women free from the domination of men; as though his juvenile criminal misogynistic faith does not hold this very principle of counting females as mens’ mere chattels to its unholy and viciously corrupt & lazy core.

They ask the court to set aside Mr Penney’s lawsuit and instead award Agape damages for its $730,000 loss.

Why the fuck don’t they just pray, instead of clogging up the lowly courts of man?
