A Celebration of Reason!

With long overdue Government support, this time, considering their previous vast subsidies for the genocidal kiddy-raping-enabler lie-fest WE subsidised to an secret but nonetheless vast extent in 2011 (Parliament of the World’s Religions), but zero $$$ for the Global Atheist Convention of 2010.

Amongst the listen speakers is Christopher Hitchens, but given his inoperative larynx, I suspect that his input will be solely via the written word, a medium of which he is a consummate master.

It has been flatteringly observed that, whilst orators speak in sentences, Hitchens speaks in paragraphs.

Perhaps this blurb is out-of-date?

This is the first time that the Four Horsemen have spoken together publicly,” said Atheist Foundation President David Nicholls. “Their best-selling books on atheism earned the group the moniker ‘The Four Horseman of the Anti-Apocalypse’, and fittingly so as they have been instrumental in bringing forth a new enlightenment in the face of growing irrationality, fundamentalism and superstitious thinking around the world.

Two sort-of different articles on the same date by Michael Bachelard in the Age, and then in the Sydney Morning Herald describe the event as only a journalist can do.

Atheist Foundation president David Nicholls said the ”four horsemen of the anti-apocalypse” would ”attract people from everywhere on the planet” to the April 2012 convention. No visit to Sydney has been confirmed.
”It will be the biggest global event for atheism ever, and it probably won’t be repeated,” Mr Nicholls said.

Rob Ward, of the Australian Christian Lobby, said people were free to gather but the debate should be civil.
”Sometimes Dawkins and co have been a tad impolite.”

Dawkins has never been impolite in his life, you cunt.

What cheek, coming from someone who arrogantly sneers at me that I am going to burn in hell for eternity?

Rob Ward is so out-of-touch that I consider him to be completely INSANE.
