Alex Stewart a “legal staffmember” (whatever the-intercourse that is) has posted an unidentified clip to ‘the internet’ showing him, using bits of paper that he owns, rolling a few cigarettes, and then proceeding to take a few puffs.

“So what?”, you might well ask. But, you see, both the Queensland University Registrar, as well as one Frances Bonner, (a Mickey-Mouse ‘academic’ who’s claim to be able to comment from a position of supposed authority is that most risible of adult scholastic titles: “Reader in television and popular culture from the University of Queensland”), sincerely think that the paper from which he rolled his fags is imbued with truly MAGIC properties. I’m not kidding!

Both the chancellor and this bogus academic think that Alex’s actions will bring bad ju-ju on to Queensland Uni!

In the 21st century, no less!

But that is not the end of the magical non-thinking: Troglodyte Queensland Opposition Leader John-Paul Langbroek (who will not hear a bad word spoken against Jehovah’s Witnesses) says he does not approve of Mr Stewart’s actions.

This is not how I teach my children – this is not how we want people to regard tolerance

I welcome the university taking a very strong view on this.

He welcomes the University endorsing magic? Holy Shit, Batman.

This is not how we want Queensland and Australia to be.

Who, exactly, are “we”? It ain’t me, for one.

It’s something that I think we need to look at in terms of what you can put on the net and how you can get away with doing these sorts of things.

Get away with using private property in a legal manner? Hell, man! That is EXACTLY what Queenslanders have been demanding for decades!!!

All of the whingers are shit-scared cowards, who defer to religious stand-over tactics reflexively. They do not deserve to be in power, let alone listened to.

More power to the Alex Stewarts of the world.

If you can see your way to giving him a quick message of support, the strangle-hold of faith over robust free-speech will be broken just a little bit earlier.
