Gillard pledges $1.5m for MacKillop celebrations

Prime Minister Julia Gillard says the Government will put $1.5 million towards the cost of celebrating the canonisation of Australia’s first saint, Mary MacKillop.

The canonisation ceremony will take place in Rome in October.

The Government will provide funding to send a delegation of youth and Indigenous representatives to the ceremony.

To protest against the proven institutionalised merciless genocidal slaughter, gruesome rape, nefandous pederastic terrorism, brutally enforced suicide, misogynistic racist subjection, slavery & kidnapping of themselves and their relations by the very Catholic Church to which Joe the Rat is now responsible, I hope!

Ms Gillard has told a fundraising dinner in Sydney that Mary MacKillop’s life work is celebrated by all Australians.

Not me.

“It’s a deeply significant time for the 5 million Australians of the Catholic faith,” she said.

On this point, I agree.

It is significant in that human beings can be so easily conned and deceived into blindly following bogus authority.

Five fucking million of the clueless bastards.

It is also a deeply significant time for those of us who may not share the Catholic faith but still deeply respect the great contribution of the church and of Australian Catholics to the social fabric of our nation

That is criminally wrong on every possible level!

Just ask the Aborigines of the “stolen generation” what the RCC did for them.

In fact, just ask a (sane) modern Catholic what the Vatican has done for them.

And when one filters out the negative responses, the desiccated residue is truly negligible.

Julia Gillard has prostituted her atheism for votes.
