A group of Christian street preachers has been fined more than $2,500 for “preaching” in Rundle Mall without a permit.

At least that is a part of our taxes back.

Four men were taken to court by the Adelaide City Council after refusing to pay fines for unauthorised spruiking.

They had previously told the Adelaide Magistrates Court that council by-laws preventing them from street preaching without permits were unconstitutional.

So: they are legal morons as well as religious morons.

The court last month found them guilty and convicted them on each charge.
