Victorian Values on trial
Religious discrimination trial set to start
The hearing into complaints by a group representing young gay people in regional Victoria against the Christian Brethren religious group continues in V-CAT this week.
Two expert witness from the religious group are giving evidence today.
The WayOut group says the Christian Brethren turned young people away from its camping park at Phillip Island because of the Brethren’s stance on homosexuality.
What, on their necks, perhaps? I wouldn’t put it past the Brethren’s infantile-misogynistic-anti-everything-rational-&-reasonable-stupid-lodge-mentality cult.
Religious groups are eligible for exemptions from the Victorian Anti-Discrimination Act.
That is obscene! Why should religious organisations be exempt from any laws, just because they have severe delusions about a magic sky-torturer?
The hearing is due to finish this week.
