Yemeni-American religious imbecile Anwar al-Awlaki singled out artist Molly Norris as a “prime target,” saying her “proper abode is hellfire.”
In an English-language Al Qaeda magazine that calls itself “Inspire,” Awlaki damns Norris and eight others for “blasphemous caricatures” of the Prophet Muhammed. The other cartoonists, authors and journalists in Awlaki’s cross hairs are Swedish, Dutch and British citizens.
“The medicine prescribed by the Messenger of Allah is the execution of those involved,” writes Awlaki
This complete dick is seriously mental. As a result of religious indoctrination, and a lust by the weak coward for easy power over others through threats and intimidation, as is the refuge of pathetic bullies from time immemorial.
The threats have had a nasty effect:

Norris eventually backed away from her cartoon and cause.

“I regret that I made my cartoon the way I made it,”

An understandable if pitiful withdrawal.

Drawing Mohammed

A radical cleric has called for the execution of a U.S. cartoonist after she launched a project called “Everybody Draw Mohammed Day.” Do you support the cartoonist’s lampoon?

  1. Yes. She was making a statement protected under the First Ammendment. That’s her job.
  2. No. She knew Islam forbids drawing the likeness of Mohammed. This is insulting, not fun.
