Lord Jesus Christ hit by Car
A 50-year-old man named Lord Jesus Christ — yes, that’s his real name — was hit by a car in Northampton, Massachusetts on Tuesday while trying to cross the street. We’re guessing he forgave the driver.
Christ, who lives in Belchertown, was taken to the hospital after being hit in a downtown crosswalk. He was struck by a 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by 20-year-old Brittany Cantarella and suffered minor facial injuries.
Police have confirmed that his legal name is, in fact, Lord Jesus Christ. Cantarella was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk; Christ was treated and released from the hospital. Catholics in the Belchertown area are reportedly wearing wooden crosswalks around their necks until he returns.

It’s just a good time to point out that religiosity won’t protect a person from accidents, natural disasters, crime, disease, malice or stupidity. Not even priests get a helping godly hand. The record is replete with examples of devout believers being killed, even in church, for one reason or another.

Is that the rationale for the “Act of God” clause in insurance contracts?
