Atheist Beer!
It is being exported to the USA, but hey Bryggeriet Djævlebryg (“Devil’s Brew”), don’t forget we Aussies!
It is called “Gudeløs.” That translates to “Godless” in English.
Devil’s Brew and the Danish Atheist Society have entered into an unholy alliance, and the result is ‘Godless’ – an ale brewed entirely without superstition. [Godless] is an imperial stout with burnt and sweetish impressions, together with notes of licorice. To exercise social responsibility, Devil’s Brew donates one Danish Crown to the Danish Atheist Society for each bottle sold.
Although, at nearly 9%
alcohol, this could have overimbibers calling Jesus on the porcelain telephone.
“Utroligt gode Øl” means “Bloody good beer”.
“Ateistisk Selskab” means “Atheist Company”.
… Mmm – thinks… Get me the Cooper’s Brewery on the phone!
“Anti-Theist Stout”. I think I shall award a prize1 for the best name2 supplied in reply!
