Tim Minchin sings about the Pope
Advisory: Contains “naughty” words.

This will go viral.
Kiddies in Catholic Schools will be singing it in the playgrounds.
You will find it a pleasant and refreshing ear-worm!

PS: We are witnessing the downfall of the Catholic Church in our own lifetimes, seriously. The inertia of reason is quite unstoppable.
They have had their millennia of parasitic privilege. It is over. Pack it in, your fucking grace.
This is better than the end of slavery in the West. Far superior.

It’s a ripper of a ditty.
It’s too early to proclaim the downfall of the Catholic church though, I should think. I’d like to hear what kind of reactions are coming from the Catholic heartlands, e.g. Italy and Latin America.
For example:

Sinead O’Connor weighs in on the scandal (not the first time) …

What about this ‘catholic friendly’ article, titled “The New Republic: The End Of The European Church”
http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=126382767
And the notion that most Latin Americans are somehow shielded from hearing about the evil criminal deeds that are endemic in the Church is a bit of a non-starter, as far as I can see.

They may hear the same information but they react to it differently. That’s my guess. We’ll see.
Interesting concept – the centre of Catholicism shifts away from Europe into Africa or Latin America.
