Demonising atheists is a growing trend
Okay, so atheists have always been demonised… but there is a new, revived form of demonisation arising in response to the so-called ‘New Atheism.’
There was a recent discussion on the Adelaide-based skeptics group ‘Thinking & Drinking‘ that sparked some debate after a member claimed that atheist ideas were even more stupid than those of Jehovah’s Witnesses. It’s amazing that people still consider atheists to be stupid troublemakers with no real evidence behind their claims.

Interesting, but a major tease.
What, exactly, did this so-called “skeptic” espouse?
C’mon, I won’t tell anyone else!
Your secret is safe here.
As for ‘no real evidence’, that is the entire basis of a-theism: No-one has any evidence of their sky-daddy claims. That is all that atheists assert.
Did they also claim to be a philosopher, perchance?
