Thanks for recording this and bringing it to our attention.
Not bad, for a given definition of “bad”.
The Unitarians seem to agree with Epstein, and have already established channels along the lines that he proposes.
I think that both are plainly correct in their assessment that humans desire the numinous, even if they do not word it that way.
A Church of the Numinous may well be a popular drawcard.
This issue is smack-bang in the middle of the ‘politically expedient’ versus ‘unvarnished reality’. I prefer the latter, but I understand if folks wish to accommodate in favour of the former.
